Farmer Time

The FarmerTime program is a valuable teacher resource that provides students with an opportunity to connect with the food and fibre sector. Hosted by the PIEFA in Australia, Farmer Time is designed to bridge the gap between students and the people who bring food to their plate. This unique program is a digital platform that offers students from Kindergarten to 12th grade a chance to interact with farmers, fishers, foresters and other professionals in the food and fibre industry.

By participating in Farmer Time, students will be able to experience the realities of a career in agriculture. They will have the chance to ask questions and take virtual tours to understand what it takes to grow, harvest and bring food to the table. This hands-on approach to learning provides a real-world context to the food and fibre curriculum and will deepen students’ understanding of the agriculture industry.

Whether it’s learning about the latest technologies and innovations in agriculture, or understanding the challenges and rewards of working in the food and fibre sector, Farmer Time is the perfect teacher resource to bring the classroom to life. So why not take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to connect your students with the people behind the food they eat? Join the Farmer Time program today and give your students a deeper appreciation of the food and fibre sector.
