The interaction of genotype, environment and management in the forestry industry

This Year 12 Agriculture resource* provides students with information regarding plant breeding in the forestry industry.

Students will:

– view multimedia sources and stimulus materials that outline the current methods of propagation of Radiata Pine trees.
– engage in group work and individual tasks,
– work towards completing an extended response question regarding a plant breeding organisation and the use of genetics in the industry.

*NOTE:  This lesson has been developed for the N.S.W BOSTES Stage 6 Agriculture Syllabus but will be applicable to use in other states.
